| The North Coast Down Syndrome Network (NCDSN) is a 501(3)(c) non-profit organization who provides resources for individuals with Down syndrome,other special needs,and their families;through education,support,and recreation. It is our goal to provide the entire community with information to broaden awareness and foster positive attitudes regarding people with disabilities. We provide parent-to-parent support for new families of babies with disabilities,and gather socially to share experiences. We strive to be an advocacy group for political effectiveness.We are affiliated with the National Down Syndrome Society (www.ndss.org),along with many other groups closer to home. We welcome new families and old friends,as we believe knowledge empowers us all. Together,we can,and will make a difference in the lives of people with Down syndrome and other special needs. |
